Dam Beavers guide

Dam Beavers begins on a floor that can be destroyed

Dam Beavers starts on a 5x5 grid, but the visible floor is not a permanent backdrop. The beavers move across the board collecting fruit and feature symbols, and their progress can break floorboards to reveal what is underneath.

This makes the grid a resource, not a fixed surface. A winning sequence can contribute to the Feature Meter, expose hidden items and move the game closer to a lower floor level.

The title becomes easier to understand if the board is read vertically. The current 5x5 state is only the first layer. Clearing the relevant floor area can unlock the next level, where the grid becomes larger and the symbol set is upgraded.

Breaking the floor changes both space and symbol quality

ELK calls the level system Multi-Level Dam. Revealing the breaking point below a floor unlocks the next level. The grid expands as the beavers move downward through the dam, and the symbols are upgraded when a new level begins.

This creates two simultaneous improvements in state. There is more active board space, and the available payout symbols become stronger versions.

That is more significant than a normal grid expansion because the level transition changes both the quantity of positions and the quality of what can appear in them. The final floor also contains the largest hidden objective. Clearing all floorboards on the last level exposes the game's final Max Win Coin state under the provider rules.

The Feature Meter converts collected wins into board modifiers

Collected wins increase the Feature Meter. When the meter fills, it awards one of three feature cards: Symbol Swap, Symbol Refresh or Wild Scatter. These cards modify the board in different ways, not simply adding a numerical multiplier.

Dam Beavers also uses feature symbols such as TNT, fireworks, a kitchen blender and bonus pies. Their roles connect back to the same progression system: remove floorboards, upgrade symbols, fill the meter or move toward the bonus trigger.

The game therefore has several named features, but they are not independent. Most of them either change the current floor state or help the beavers reach a stronger one. That relationship is the useful part to explain because it turns what could look like a crowded feature list into one progression path.

Bonus Beaver preserves the state you already built

Collecting three pies triggers the Bonus Game with five Free Drops. The key rule is persistence. ELK states that the current floor level, Feature Meter progress, fruit payout level and additional Bonus-symbol collection all carry into the bonus.

The feature is not a reset. It is a continuation of the current dam state under Free Drop rules.

Retriggers can add more Free Drops, which matters because the expanded grid and upgraded symbol state have already been preserved. Extra time is being added to an existing progression, not to a fresh feature. This is one of the strongest visitor-value points for understanding Dam Beavers: the Bonus Game makes most sense when it is understood as an extension of the work already done in the base game.

Checking floor-state persistence in free play

Start by watching one floor, not chasing the bonus immediately. Follow how collected activity affects the Feature Meter and how broken floorboards reveal more of the level. When the breaking point is fully exposed, compare the next grid with the previous one and check the change in symbol level.

A Feature Meter reward is useful to isolate because Symbol Swap, Symbol Refresh and Wild Scatter all change the board in different ways. When three pies finally open the Bonus Game, the main check is persistence. The floor level and Feature Meter should not feel as if they have returned to zero. It makes the bonus transition much more informative than simply counting five Free Drops.

Where Dam Beavers and Dropz differ

Dropz is the closest related comparison because both ELK games combine an expanding board with persistent progression that carries into a bonus. Dam Beavers develops downward through physical floor levels. Breaking the floor expands the grid and upgrades symbols, while the Bonus Game preserves the current level and Feature Meter state.

Dropz develops through Level Up and Chocolate reveals. Rows can be added, matching pairs feed a multiplier system and the multiplier reached in the base game carries into Free Dropz.

The common idea is persistence across changing board size. The difference is what the game remembers. Dam Beavers remembers floor, symbol and meter progress. Dropz places more of its continuing value in levels, revealed Chocolate positions and the active multiplier.
