Lava Lava turns every explosion into another chance to change the board
Lava Lava uses five reels, three rows and 15 fixed paylines. Thunderkick builds the game around three mechanics that feed directly into one another: exploding Scatters, Avalanches and Multiplier Wilds.
A Scatter does more than count toward Free Spins. When it appears, it explodes and removes symbols from the same row and reel, while Wilds and other Scatters are protected. The empty spaces are then refilled through the Avalanche system.
This means one Scatter can alter several positions at once and create another evaluation without waiting for a fresh paid spin. The feature is easiest to understand as a chain: Scatter explosion, new symbols, possible line win, another Avalanche and then another board state.
Wild multipliers grow with the number of Wilds in one winning line
The Wild substitutes for ordinary symbols except the Scatter. When one or more Wilds take part in a winning payline, the line receives a multiplier based on the number of contributing Wilds. One Wild gives 2x, two give 4x, three give 8x, four give 16x and five give 32x.
The progression is exponential, not linear. Adding another Wild does not merely add a small amount to the previous value; it moves the win into the next multiplier tier.
This makes the Wild mechanic different from a general round multiplier. The value depends on how many Wilds are actually part of the winning line. During an Avalanche sequence, the same board can therefore produce several wins with different Wild participation and different multiplier values.
Three collected Scatters move the current round into Free Spins
Scatters are collected while the current game round continues. Collecting three during the same round triggers 10 Free Spins. In the bonus, another three collected Scatters add five more spins.
The key detail is that collection belongs to the active round. Scatter explosions and Avalanches can keep changing the board while the meter is moving toward the trigger.
It makes the route into the feature more connected to the base game than a simple "land three symbols on one static screen" rule. The same chain that creates wins can also create more Scatter opportunities before the round finally ends.
Free Spins make the Wilds semi-sticky
The bonus strengthens the relationship between Wilds and Avalanches. At the start of each Free Spin, between one and three Wilds can be placed on the reels. These Wilds have three lives. A life is used when the Wild takes part in a win, and the Wild remains protected from the ordinary Avalanche removal until those lives are used.
This creates short-term persistence on a board that is otherwise designed to keep clearing and refilling. The feature contains two opposing forces. Avalanches remove winning symbols and rebuild the board, while the semi-sticky Wilds can survive and keep contributing across several wins.
That contrast is the defining mechanic of Lava Lava. The screen keeps changing, but some of its strongest positions can remain.
Tracing an explosion chain in free play
Start with a Scatter, not waiting for Free Spins. Watch which symbols are removed horizontally and vertically, then follow the Avalanche that refills the empty positions. If the new board forms a line win, keep following the sequence until no further win or Scatter explosion occurs.
Next, focus on one winning line containing Wilds. Count the Wilds and compare the displayed multiplier with the 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x and 32x ladder.
During Free Spins, watch one Wild through several wins. The clearest observation is whether it remains after contributing to a win and how its remaining lives change. That sequence shows the relationship between destruction, replacement and persistence without reducing the game to a list of features.
The layout itself is conventional. The movement comes from what happens after a qualifying result, when symbols can clear and the feature sequence can continue.
How Lava Lava differs from Wild Heist at Peacock Manor
Wild Heist at Peacock Manor is the closest comparison because both Thunderkick games use Wilds to change large parts of a fixed-line board, but they do so in opposite ways. Lava Lava is destructive. Scatters remove rows and reels, Avalanches refill the gaps and semi-sticky Wilds survive inside that changing board.
Wild Heist is additive. Its Mystery Features can turn whole reels Wild, scatter several Wilds across the screen or introduce Walking Wilds that move through linked re-spins.
The distinction is board erosion versus Wild construction. Lava Lava creates value by repeatedly clearing and rebuilding the grid. Wild Heist produces value by adding or moving Wild coverage across it.
